I began my martial arts journey in 1988, starting with Taekwondo and kickboxing. I quickly recognized the importance of solid boxing fundamentals and incorporated dedicated boxing training into my regimen. Over the years, my practice evolved into a comprehensive martial arts program encompassing Boxing, Muay Thai, grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Pankration. In 1999, I was introduced to Kudo by a visiting Japanese team in Toronto. I fell in love with the discipline immediately and have trained in it passionately ever since.

My martial arts journey began at age of 23 with Ashihara Karate, drawn to its powerful blend of realism, discipline, and philosophical depth. Since dedicating myself to serious practice in 2010, I have earned the rank of Nidan (2nd-degree black belt) in Ashihara Karate and 2-kyu in Kudo. My training extends beyond traditional boundaries, incorporating Wrestling, Mixed Martial Arts, and Judo to develop a comprehensive and adaptable skill set. This diverse background has shaped my teaching philosophy: a hybrid approach that honors traditional technique while prioritizing practical, real-world application. I emphasize adaptability, composure under pressure, and efficiency of movement—principles that prove themselves both in competition and in life.At the heart of my practice lie the timeless values of respect, humility, and continuous growth. I strive to embody the martial spirit in every aspect of life, inside the dojo and beyond, and am committed to passing on these lessons of perseverance, self-discipline, and authentic martial wisdom to my students.
